A great success! Junk Free June 2016 14 Jul 2016 With the generous support of the local community, corporate supporters and individual donors, The Junction Works’ 2016 Junk Free June Campaign proved a great success, generating over $48,000 for its Living Skills & Respite House. The Junction Works’ Living Skills & Respite House will support adults with intellectual disability to develop the independent living skills that they require to move into more independent living arrangements, whilst providing much needed respite for their parents and carers. Chris Campbell, CEO, was delighted with the outcome of this year’s Junk Free June campaign. “I would like to thank everyone involved in Junk Free June, from the series of site open days and workshops through to donations, individual and team fundraising initiatives and other efforts”, said Chris. “The Living Skills & Respite House is a resource that many of the families we support asked for. Every donation and fundraising initiative puts us a step closer to realising this much needed resource.” The Junction Works' next major fundraising event is the annual Clarendon Cup Charity Golf Day, taking place on 14 October 2016 at the elegant Macquarie Links International Golf Course.
