TJW Restructure to meet NDIS Challenges

TJW makes management changes to meet ongoing NDIS challenges

The goal of The Junction Works in 2019 is to build the quality and breadth of our support services while making it easier for families to navigate the NDIS. Currently the NDIS is complex and often inconsistent in its funding, particularly for children with a disability and those with complex support needs.

To support our objective we’ve been making structural, procedural and management changes and injecting a new customer focused energy across the organisation.

As part of the restructure the position of Chief Operating Officer has been established as an integral part of the executive team to help us deliver the positive outcomes we are working towards.

I am excited to announce that Matthew Lattin has taken up this position.

Matthew has extensive experience working within disability services, and has over 25 years in senior management and executive roles. He has worked in South West Sydney for many years and understands the expectations of individuals and families seeking quality, responsive services.

However, with any restructure there is change and loss. With the creation of the Chief Operations Officer role, the role of General Manager Services is no longer required. With this decision, Marilyn Soulsby’s association with The Junction Weeks has come to an end.

Marilyn was employed as a Coordinator at our Tallowood Community Centre in 2003, and over the years moved into management roles. Marilyn provided significant commitment to the individuals and families The Junction Works supports. Her local knowledge and relationships were greatly valued as was her commitment to staff.

On behalf of the Board of Directors and organisation I thank Marilyn for her contribution, particularly as we transitioned into the new and unpredictable environment of NDIS.
