A long-standing business relationship has turned into an active community partnership for The Junction Works, with Meridian IT raising their support for the charity this year.

The award-winning data management and information systems provider recently invested in a sponsorship of The Junction Works’ 2016 Charity Golf Day, an event which raised almost $80,000 for the organisation.

The success of this fundraising event will enable The Junction Works to commence the design phase of its Living Skills and Respite House – a facility that will enable young adults with a disability in South West Sydney to move towards greater independence through innovative skill development programs. The facility will also provide essential respite to parents and carers.

CEO of The Junction Works, Chris Campbell, is delighted to have Meridian IT taking such an active role in supporting this important project.

“By supporting this project, Meridian is helping us to achieve our mission of ‘creating new possibilities in people’s lives’,” Chris said.

“We are very grateful for the ongoing interest and support of Meridian IT.”

Meridian’s support extends to other projects, including The Junction Works’ annual ‘SPARK’ Creative Arts Festival, an event specifically designed for young adults with a disability.

Now in its 13th year, the Festival attracts over 350 participants from across NSW, providing them with a unique opportunity to challenge themselves in a supportive and friendly environment.

Meridian’s sponsorship of material for this year’s Festival will maximise this opportunity for young adults with a disability and enhance their overall experience.

“Our partnership with Meridian has evolved from just a client-business relationship.
While they’re a large and successful company, we get the feeling Meridian really understand what The Junction Works is all about and are keen to support us in delivering our mission,” said Chris Campbell.

“The Meridian team are not only our IT specialists who know our systems and staff…ultimately, they believe in and support our mission too.

“They continue to play an important role in supporting The Junction Works to provide more opportunities for children, young people and adults living with a disability in South West Sydney.”
