Tallowood Community Centre Volunteers win National Volunteer Award

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE JUNCTION WORKS - TALLOWOOD COMMUNITY CENTRE VOLUNTEERS, for being awarded the 2015 National Volunteer Award - Macarthur (Business Volunteer Award).
Russell Matheson, Federal Member for Macarthur, presented The Junction Works with this award today, with the following citation:
"The winner of this award is a not for profit community based organisation that has been serving the Macarthur Community for 25 years.  As an organisation, it seeks to create new po...ssibilities in people's lives and delivers a range of creative and enriching disability services and community programs to reduce disadvantage in marginalised communities.  This organisation also supports a number of community groups, coordinates a community garden as well as outreach services, parenting groups for families, tenant maintenance workshops, Karitane and kids training, weekly cuppa and chat sessions, as well as health promotion for disadvantaged and marginalised communities."
