A FRESH experience: NSW Seniors Festival at TJW

07 Mar 2017

'Let's do more together' - the message of NSW Seniors Week 2017 certainly thrived at The Junction Works this week, which saw 30 seniors to participate in a community greening session at Tallowood Community Centre.

NSW Seniors Week takes place each year from March 3-12 to encourage more seniors to be active, social and healthy through local community events.

The Festival inspired local seniors community to get their hands dirty at Tallowood on Monday, in a workshop led by Elizabeth Docking, Community Greening Officer at the Royal Botanic Gardens & Domain Trust. The group enjoyed competitions, prizes and a relaxed lunch prepared by The Junction Works' Catering Crew - before taking home seedlings and all the tools required to grow herbs and veggies in their own backyard.

The Junction Works would like to thank FACS NSW for making this great day possible.
