AUSTRAL – OPEN 7 DAYS & SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

Sydney Outings | Disability Day Program

Our Sydney Day Programs at The Junction Works Austral Campus are unique initiative that aims to foster a sense of community and engagement for individuals with disabilities. The disability program includes weekly outings to various attractions and with different activities, providing participants with an opportunity to experience the joys of exploration, learning and social interaction.

Weekly Community Outings for Our Participants

Our dedicated team organises a diverse variety of activities each week for our participants.

These weekly community outings are carefully designed to cater to a wide range of interests and abilities, ensuring that every participant has the opportunity to engage in something they truly enjoy.

These weekly activities not only make for a good time, but also encourage personal growth and help build a sense of community among the participants.

Visit to Madame Tussauds

Disability Day Programs and Services | Sydney Disability Support

One of the exciting outings organised through our Sydney Disability Day Program was a trip to Madame Tussauds. Participants had a chance to come face-to-face with life-like wax figures of their favourite celebrities, historical figures and superheroes. It provided a fun and interactive way for participants to learn about popular culture and history in an engaging, tactile environment.

Sydney Zoo Day Trip

Disability Day Programs | Sydney Disability Support | Austral Campus

A day trip to Sydney Zoo was another adventure that our Disability Day Program participants thoroughly enjoyed. The vast array of animals and exhibits provided a great learning experience, allowing individuals to learn about different species and their habitats.

Roar & Snore at Taronga Zoo

Outings for Individuals with Disabilities | Austral Day Programs | Sydney NSW

One favourite outing of our Disability Day Program participants was the Roar & Snore adventure at Taronga Zoo, which included an overnight stay and a deeper dive into learning about various animals.

City Outing & Picnic Day

Disability Day Programs | Sydney Disability Support Services | Community Outings

The city outing and picnic days are all about the thrill of exploring the city and the relaxation of a picnic. Disability Day Program participants navigate through the city on our City Outing, taking in the sights and sounds of urban life.

The Picnic Day, on the other hand, was a lovely day in a serene spot where everyone had the chance to unwind and enjoy a meal together in the great outdoors.

Petting Zoo

Disability Services and Support | Sydney NSW

We also had a great time setting up a petting zoo for our Disability Day Program participants. This outing provided a unique opportunity for participants to interact directly with a variety of friendly and gentle animals. They got to touch and feed animals like rabbits and goats, which was fun, but also helped them connect with nature and develop empathy. More than just a fun day, this visit helped us build a caring community.

If these community outings sound exciting to you, we’re thrilled to share that there’s even more! We also have activities like golfing, bowling, arcade fun, visits to botanical gardens and much more.
